The Consulate General of Brazil in San Francisco, in partnership with the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco and the Japan Innovation Campus (JIC), invites you to an exciting showcase bringing together startups, ecosystem leaders, and industry partners from both countries.
🧬Come listen to an insightful panel on fundraising and navigating the US biotech ecosystem for first-time CEOs, moderated by Antonio Henriques, Co-Founder and CEO of Momentum Therapeutics and Co-President of BALSA (Brazilian-American Life Sciences Associations), and featuring Lauren Gehman, Co-Founder and CEO of Merge Therapeutics, and Ying Kai Chan, Co-Founder and CEO of Cirrus Therapeutics. Both are first-time CEOs and Termeer Institute fellows actively building and financing companies in the United States.
The panel will be followed by a time highlighting startups from Brazil and Japan. In conjunction with JPMorgan Healthcare RESI Conference Week, ABIQUIFI (Brazilian Association of the Industry of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers), APEX Brasil, and the JIC will present a portfolio of Brazilian and Japanese biotech and healthtech startups.
This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the Brazilian and Japanese biotech ecosystems, hear directly from founders and leaders, and connect with investors and peers shaping the future of life sciences.
