1st Night Sephardic Holiday Dinner for young professionals - Every first night of major Jewish holidays.
Join Us for a Sephardic Passover Seder!
As part of our new initiative, First Night Sephardic Holiday Dinner for young professionals with our Sephardic synagogue members, we invite you to celebrate the Exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt with a night of rich traditions.
Feel the sting of slavery (lightly!) with the Persian custom of playfully tapping friends with scallions during Dayenu, circle the Seder plate over each other’s heads following the Moroccan tradition during Bivhilu, and crack a boiled egg on your friend’s head before eating it, as done in the Yemenite custom during Shulchan-Orech.
Enjoy traditional “Yemenite Matzah”, a soft, thick matzah (as well as the common matzah - thin and crispy kind).
It’s all about remembering how Hashem took us out of Egypt with great miracles and an outstretched arm—through food, fun, meaningful traditions, and great company.
