✨We are excited to announce QTIBIPOC Yoga For Us By Us hosted by Meesha and Philly Transmascs of Color. This 1.5 hour yoga class includes community introduction and grounding into the space, one hour of yoga flow that incorporates philosophy, breathwork, asana, and meditation, and thirty minutes of integrating through journal prompts and shares.
✨Meesha Sharma (they/she) will be your guide during this yoga experience and hopes to gift you healing tools that you can take off the mat and into your life.
✨From Meesha: This is an affinity space for QTIBIPOC to gather to carve out time for communal healing. When we have events dedicated to us we feel valued, and are able to take up the space in an important way.
✨Meesha is a queer diasporic South Asian that has ten years of yoga teaching experience. They teach to share the roots of yoga as a holistic way of life and healing modality, and work to combat the harm that the wellness industrial complex has done by appropriating South Asian culture for profit. They have taught all age ranges from preschoolers through senior elders, and their current work involves carving out safe and brave spaces for QTIBIPOC to learn and practice indigenous healing modalities.
✨Philly TMOC was started by two transboys grieving boyhood and in search of community that decenters whiteness and prioritizes QTBIPOC joy and community. Their goal is to bring you curated social events that encourage play, connection, and brotherhood. They are a sober and covid-conscious space. Racism, sexism, misogyny, ableism, fatphobia, colonialism, or zionism of any form will not be tolerated. They are a community lead and volunteer based group.
