✨ One of Many presents Echoes of Emptiness: An evening of Kirtan, Mantra, Meditation, and Sacred Sound w/ Chandra Easton & Musical Guests Ramana Erickson, Jesse Sheehan, and Robert James Ryan III and Cassian Rose of Sorelia Join Chandra Easton, Buddhist teacher, author, and devotional chantress, for an evening of sacred sound exploring the "echoes of emptiness" — the empty yet vividly appearing nature of sound, thought, and all phenomena. Rooted in Buddhist and Hindu Tantric traditions, this gathering offers an accessible, joyful entry into devotional music and meditation for all levels. Chandra will be joined by music collaborators Ramana Erickson, Jesse Sheehan, and Cassian Rose and Robert James Ryan III of Sorelia, weaving voice, melody, and rhythm into a shared field of practice. Through call-and-response chanting, mantra repetition, and meditation, we'll move together into the meeting place of sound and stillness. The evening will feature devotional chants and melodies honoring a pantheon of divine wisdom beings. We will be invited to open and embody their awakened qualities, to drink from the wellspring of divine shakti, and to leave refreshed by collective ceremony and joy. Come as you are. You're welcome to sing, listen, rest, or move as the practice unfolds. No prior experience with chanting or meditation is needed. Join us for an intimate evening where ancient wisdom meets a contemporary, communal container — and where sound becomes a doorway into presence and connection. ⸻ About Chandra Easton Chandra Easton is a Buddhist teacher, author, and devotional chantress, holding the title Dorje Lopön (Vajra Teacher). She has studied and practiced within Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist lineages as well as Hindu Tantric traditions, and is known for weaving chanting, meditation, and Dharma teachings into embodied, accessible devotional practice. Her teaching emphasizes direct experience over conceptual understanding, inviting students into relationship with sound, silence, and the sacred feminine through living practice rather than doctrine. She studied classical Hindustani music and Nada Yoga with Rita Sahai and Sudhanshu Sharma. She is a co-founder of the musical group, 21 Taras Collective (www.21tarascollective.org), and the author of “Embodying Tara: Twenty-One Manifestations to Awaken Your Own Wisdom.” Visit www.chandraeaston.com. ⸻ About the Music Guests Ramana Erickson began learning kirtan at a young age, living continuously in ashrams in the U.S. and India from ages nine to twenty-one. A devotee of Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) for over thirty-five years, Ramana has developed deep fluency in kirtan singing, harmonium, kaimani (hand cymbals), and tabla. He has performed with Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, Jahnavi Harrison, Mangalananda, Chandra Easton, the 21 Taras Collective, and many others, grounding his musicianship in lifelong devotional practice. Jesse Sheehan is a Bay Area–based multi-instrumentalist who has studied extensively in India under the guidance of renowned guru Pandit Nayan Ghosh. He has performed kirtan with Bhagawan Das, Ragani, Chandra Easton, and Mangalananda, and brings decades of experience supporting sacred music through deep listening, sensitivity, and presence. Robert James Ryan III is a multi-instrumentalist and facilitator of ceremonial gatherings with over a decade of experience, and has worked in healing and transformational spaces for nearly thirty years. A writer of philosophy, myth, and story, his work explores coherence, consciousness, and the architectures of cultural renewal, supporting gatherings that are both musically and meaningfully held. Cassian Rose is an Oakland-based musician who has played violin since the age of three, drawing on over three decades of classical training alongside jazz, rock, improvisational, and contemporary influences. Over the past four years, he has supported ceremony, kirtan, sound healing, and movement spaces through electric violin and vocals with subtle effects and looping, offering meditative soundscapes that respond to the room and serve the collective experience. ⸻ About One of Many One of Many experiences invite presence, authenticity, and connection.
