We’re throwing a Persian Cheesesteak Mehmooni (gathering) at G’s Cheesesteaks! Together with Chef Connor Caine (@connor_caine) and the team at G’s Cheesesteaks, we came up with a recipe that feels like a Persian picnic and kabob koobideh in sandwich form, bringing some of the flavors I grew up with into G’s classic ribeye cheesesteak. Sumac-spiced ribeye, grilled onions, charred tomato, fresh herbs and a side of saffron garlic aioli made with real saffron. The cheesesteak will be available ALL DAY Monday, August 17, and don’t worry, we’re making A LOT of this so everyone can try it. But come hang with us from 6–9PM for the actual mehmooni, try the special, meet the team and celebrate with us.
