Guests will be seated in the studio with the band and provided headphones to listen to the live mix throughout the show. Social hour with snacks and beverages to follow. DOORS - 6:30pm MUSIC - 7:00pm SOCIAL HOUR - 8-9pm ALL AGES! BIO: The Nelson Devereaux Trio features Cody McKinney on electric bass and Dave Power on drums. The music is an otherworldly blend of styles- jazz, ambient, lofi, indie, beats, cinematic soundscapes. Each set is improvised until perhaps the group lands on an agreed-upon planet only to jettison far far away from it. The one constant is groove. Their debut record “Three Lights In The Dark” released in October of 2025, received 4/5 stars on All About Jazz and was released on NYC label Youngbloods. Nelson Devereaux (saxophones, flute, clarinet, synths, vocals) made his way into the international music community via a stint in the band Bon Iver and has since recorded with Jungle, Mild High Club, Miley Cyrus, tours with Craig Finn (of The Hold Steady) and was recently featured on saxophone at Noah Kahan’s sold-out show at Target Field. He was also nominated for two Golden Melody Awards in Taipei for his record “reel mu$ic” in June of 2026. Dave Power is a drummer in south Minneapolis who has toured nationally and internationally with artists such as Aero Flynn, The Staves, and Rose of the West. He is currently playing in several local/regional projects (Solid Gold, bathtub cig, Nelson Devereaux Trio, Freaque, Michael Perry & the Long Beds, BHMC, etc), and has his own solo electronic project called White Dune. He will be releasing his sixth full-length record under his White Dune moniker in September 2026 on local label, Bumpy Records. Cody McKinney is a Minneapolis-based musician, composer, producer, and improviser whose work bridges experimental music, jazz, contemporary dance, film, and interdisciplinary performance. A recipient of multiple artist grants, McKinney has performed alongside Marc Ribot, worked with Donna Grantis (Prince) and the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, and opened for the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. His work includes commissioned music for the Walker Art Center’s Sounds for Silents, live scoring for StoryCorps at the Fitzgerald Theater, and participation in the International Society for Improvised Music (ISIM) with John Keston. He produced, arranged, and performed music for ReichFest, celebrating the work of Steve Reich, and performed as part of The Parking Ramp Project, a Guggenheim-funded dance project. His experimental recordings include The Graphic Sessions with Jeremy Ylvisaker, JT Bates, and others, as well as The Central Planes by his group Bloodline, and A Sound/Simulacra, created with John Keston and numerous collaborators. As a producer/ performer, he has also worked with Tina Schlieske, Rogue Valley, Jake Baldwin, and The Early Planets.
