AI is helping engineering teams build faster. But inside complex organizations, faster output doesn’t always mean faster delivery. Code still waits on reviews. Tickets wait on decisions. We wanted to understand how much of that AI was actually fixing, so we audited our own Jira and GitHub workflows. We automated the typing. Nobody automated the waiting.
