Back for the 4th year running, the NY Tech Week Soccer Championship brings together the startup ecosystem’s most competitive (and collaborative) investors, founders, and operators for a morning of fast‑paced soccer, real connections, and post‑game community. This is a fun & casual game that's well‑organized and high‑energy designed to spark offline relationships that actually last beyond NY Tech Week. Whether you’re a former college player, weekend league regular, or just competitive enough to lace up boots for good people and a great cause, this is your chance to play with the ecosystem, not just network around it. 👥 Who’s Playing --> VCs & Angels --> Startup Founders --> Operators across Finance, HR, Ops, Product, and GTM --> All skill levels welcome (we organize accordingly...see below) 🧩 Team & Match Format Teams: ~6–8 players per team (small‑sided for high engagement) Organization: --> Players will be grouped by role (Investor / Founder / Operator) --> And by self‑reported skill level to keep games competitive and inclusive This ensures: --> Balanced teams --> High‑quality play --> No one stuck defending a former D1 striker all afternoon (unless they want to) 👟 What to Bring Please come ready to play: --> Soccer or turf shoes (no metal cleats) --> Athletic wear --> Water (we’ll have limited extras, but bring your own to be safe) --> Fun energy + good sportsmanship (no jerks, no slide tackling, no hard shots to someone's face) 🤝 After the Whistle: Stay Connected The game is just the beginning.
