Peak Design New York and Cine Balikbayan presents Bayanihan Across Shores. Join us for an evening of film and conversation in celebration of Filipino American History Month. Bayanihan, the Filipino spirit of communal unity, cooperation, and helping one another takes center stage through cinema, bringing together works from filmmakers in the Philippines and the diaspora. From intimate explorations of home and belonging to bold stories of resilience and satire, these films reflect the many ways Filipinos tell their truths through cinema. We’ll also host a Panel Discussion: Filipino Identity Beyond the Screen with Sondy Lucille, Pacqui Pascual & Coco Tolentino. Drawing from the featured films, this conversation explores how film and media itself reflects and shapes Filipino identity, at home & in the diaspora, and why creating more platforms for our works is essential.
