Join us for an easy 2.6-mile round-trip hike through Talladega National Forest to beautiful Cheaha Falls. We’ll enjoy a picnic snack or lunch by the water, with optional water play before hiking back out. Bring plenty of water, your own snacks or lunch, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, and anything your family needs for playing near the water. There are no restrooms or facilities at the trailhead or falls, and cell service is unreliable, so come prepared and let someone know your plans. We’ll meet at the Chinnabee Silent Trail parking lot near the Turnipseed Campground trail entrance; cross the road to follow the Cheaha Falls Trail. If the lot is full, roadside parking is available along Forest Road 600.
