It’s the LA release concert for Rose Colored Town, the debut album by Eli Wirtschafter! Backed by a full band of talented friends and family, Eli will play music that his own mother called “more fun than The Beatles.” We’ll also be selling copies of the companion Rose Colored Town Coloring Book, illustrated by Isabel Halpern, which has a page for every song on the album. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Sam Plecker is opening! He is celebrating the release of his song "Front Door Blues"! (He also mixed Eli’s album). Time: Thursday, Feb 27 at 8pm Location: Art Share L.A. 801 E 4th Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90013 Parking on street or pay at Best Auto Park: 333 Alameda St. Opener: Sam Plecker Album release band: Eli Wirtschafter, Jake Baker Gindy, Ben Gown, Daniela Labi, Micah O'Konis, Marnina Schon and Jordan Steen About Eli: Eli Wirtschafter sounds like Nick Drake in a better mood. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist grew up in Berkeley immersed in family folk jams and the ghost of 60s counterculture. His first love is the violin, which he’s explored in classical, jazz, klezmer, and folk music. As a songwriter, he brings a playful spirit and a love of language to big questions and quiet moments. Leaving the Bay Area for Los Angeles during the pandemic sparked his upcoming debut album, Rose Colored Town, a search for love, home, and a moment’s peace.
