Pocket Party!
You're invited to a Pocket Party hosted by Cassandra of Laurel Small Batch Goods! Join the party (aka workshop) and meet fellow sewists while learning two methods of adding pockets to your clothes. We'll focus on in-seam pockets and patch pockets for this party. This workshop is an excellent fit for beginners, but all participants should know how to sew a straight stitch and backstitch on a machine. Can't wait to party (aka sew) with you!
Please bring:
-Your sewing machine (or indicate you need to borrow one)
-Two pieces of clothing you want to add pockets to, with at least one garment having a side seam. Please avoid garments with stretchy, slippery, or denim fabric. Note: if finding clothes that meets this criteria is difficult, bring what you can. Extra clothes and practice fabric will be provided if needed.
You'll receive:
-All other materials needed for use during the workshop (thread, scissors, etc...)
-Practice fabric and pre-cut pockets
-An inseam pocket pattern to take home
-A patch pocket pattern to take home
-Written instructions for adding both pockets to reference after the workshop.
