Fun, festive, colorful: don’t be a scrub! It’s Diwali!
TL;DR: This year, instead of throwing the classic Diwali rager, we’re doing a craft night with Crafternoon Club! Indian street food, snacks, and wine will be served. ✨✨✨ This Diwali, join us celebrating love, light, and the new year on October 20 with an evening of community & creativity! Diwali is the celebration of good over evil, light over darkness, and love over everything else. Every year I love to bring the folx together for a party, but this year, I want to be a little more intentional. So, I’m joining forces with Clara’s Crafternoon Clerb for an artsy cutie Diwali night. For our craft, Clara will be leading us in a super fun activity. On Diwali, we traditionally burn oil lamps or “diyas” to light up the night. we’ll be painting diyas for everyone to bring home a little piece of community and culture. No supplies required, we’ll provide those. Anisha’s going to make some fab Indian street food while we paint (and sip, can’t forget the bubbly!) and light up the night with our lovely friends. We’re asking $30 to cover supplies and snacks. Wine and bev is on me! Percentage of proceeds will go to World Central Kitchen, currently focusing its work on Gaza genocide and Punjab flooding relief. hope to see you all there!
