'Tis the season! A season to celebrate & call forth the fullness of ourselves, and to uplift the glory of queer people ~ the people who have paved (and continue to pave) a pathway deeper into fuller, more fabulous expression for all.
We are proud to be queer. We are proud to live here in Brooklyn. And we are so proud that our community includes YOU. Whether you are a regular here at Lefferts, or this is your first time partying underneath the Juneberry Tree, we are proud to welcome you for a night of getting back to the good stuff:
Friends. In a living room. Singing at the top of our lungs.
The idea is to get back to our ROOTS. A pride jam with a lineup of incredibly talented musician friends sharing their music, improvising epic tunes, and leading the room in full-throated harmony.
We've invited a slew of amazing singers to share their music magic, including:
Aaron Wesly, Oliver Richman, Malinda Reese, C-Bass Chiriboga, Sabrina Cyan, Mark Farnum, & Ben Freeman
along with:
Dan Rudin on keys
Stefano Di Blasio on guitar
C-Bass Chiriboga & Mitch Bowers on percussion
This evening's musical explorations will be led & emcee'd by Matt. This is a space where you too can jam along or get up on the mic! We want your magic sauce.
So bring an instrument, bring an idea for a song we could rock out to, and we'll see if we can fold them into some sort of mega-medley of gay goodness!
Dress Code: Whatever makes you feel AWESOME-HOT-COMFY-FABULOUS-EMBODIED-GENDER-AFFIRMED. Glitter always encouraged.
