How it works
We run our open mic at Somerville Music Spaces.
Musicians grab a 12-minute slot (solo or chamber).
Each slot is $20, which keeps the space alive and gets you a high-quality recording of your performance.
Audience? Free. Always.

Why this exists
BCCM is for everyone who used to play: in school, in youth orchestras, at college... and suddenly had nowhere to go with their music.
Life got busy, schedules got weird, auditions got stressful… but the love for the instrument never really left.
This is a space to pick it back up.
To meet people who also miss playing.
To remember how good it feels to make music with others — without pressure, without perfection, without being “good enough” for anything.
Kids, adults, amateurs, pros… everyone fits in the same room.
That’s the whole point.
