Building AI Agents for Science: From Theory to Laboratory Artificial intelligence is undergoing a paradigm shift, moving beyond simple chatbots to autonomous agents capable of complex reasoning. Nowhere is this transformation more critical than in the sciences, where AI agents are beginning to accelerate the pace of discovery, from drug development to material science. Hosted by GRAIL, this session explores the "Autonomous Science" movement—a new frontier where PhD-level agents partner with researchers to automate the scientific loop. This two-part event features a high-level panel of academic and industry leaders followed by a hands-on technical workshop. During the workshop, participants will be introduced to ApexClaw, GRAIL's flagship platform for building advanced science agents.
