Speed dating, on the beach, at sunset, woot! -> This event is for women interested in men, ages ~25 to ~35. Our background check will be quick 3-minute phone calls with these references. They'll also be the ones we call if someone doesn't show up — yay, peer pressure! -> (New) Referrals: If you have been referred to this event by someone who has already been accepted and is going, we'll consider you a +1, in which case reference calls are no longer necessary. -> Once the background check is complete, we'll notify you that you've made it into the event or onto the waitlist. -> Priority for those who sign up by May 2, rolling admission afterward. RSVP by May 23rd at the latest. -> If you have to cancel, please send a notification as soon as possible so that those on the waitlist can be notified. -> In the case of adverse weather or an emergency, the event will be rescheduled to June 6 at the same time. -> The event will start on the dot at 7:30pm, so please arrive slightly early. Even if you're late, you can still join in — you might just miss a couple of your dates, and those dates will miss you! -> When you arrive, you'll be directed to a chair and given a "waiting" activity until the event starts. -> Plan is to have 10 dates of 4 minutes each, with a 5-minute intermission at the halfway point. -> The rest of the details will be explained once the event starts. -> Expect small doses of absurdity. 😄
