dani murcia and lila bloom at the good life garden

please join us Wednesday, August 5th at The Good Life Garden for an evening of flower planting and music!
as some of you know, i am getting ready to share a project i've been working on called 'On Love and Loss'. much of my sonic work investigates grief, the heart, healing, and interpersonal relationships. with this in mind, i wanted to gather my loved ones, new and old, and share this new music in a space whose mission is to serve the land and community.
we'll begin at 6pm to meet our neighborhood garden run by the dearest Kofi (@bkgardener), who'll tell us about the garden, its inhabitants, and how we can support it. the garden is currently facing some legal trouble and needs our help with tending and good energies! if you've been searching for a place to volunteer or wanting to spend more time in nature, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more. this space is truly beautiful and sacred!!!
we'll then plant herbs and flowers before the music. we are recommending lavender, rosemary, big leaf thyme, and marigold (seeds) in honor of the grieving heart. you can find these at the store around the corner on Ralph Street. i will also have some ready for you :)
around 7:30pm, Lila Bloom (one of my favorite musicians of ALL TIME) will continue to open our hearts with her intricate melodies and devastatingly beautiful lyrics. we'll close out with new music from Dani Murcia, Koa Ho, Mike Decena, and canteenkilla!
we're suggesting a $15 donation, to be split between the garden and the musicians. any amount is appreciated, as it takes a lot to keep all creative forces going :)
