Before Plus BKLYN, there was Re/Dress.
If you were around Brooklyn in the 2000s, you already know. Re/Dress was the original plus-size resale shop, a dirty little warehouse that turned into an actual fat fashion paradise years before body positivity was a hashtag. It’s the reason Plus BKLYN exists at all.
Founder Deb is bringing Re/Dress back to life in book form: More Rump, Less Frump!, a 200+ page archive of photos, memories, and stories from the Fat Girl Flea Market to the last INDIE+ fashion show. It’s launching on Kickstarter and we want to help kick it off right.
Come shop, sip, and swap Re/Dress stories with people who were actually there. We’ll have leaders from NAAFA (National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance) in the building too. Whether you remember Re/Dress firsthand or you’re just here because you love fat fashion history, this one’s for you. Come help us kickstart this kickstarter as a “thanks” to those who came before us!
Also please consider backing the Kickstarter (there are some fab rewards) : https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/blurringbooks/more-rump-less-frump?
