DC's Different Drummers - Spring Jazz Concert
DCDD Jazz Band is proud to present their spring concert: “Florals, For Spring? Groundbreaking” at 1pm on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026!
This FREE big band jazz concert will feature a selection of beloved standards and jazzy arrangements of pop tunes with floral titles and themes. We will also be debuting an original composition by the band’s pianist, Brandon Boxbaum, arranged for DCDD in collaboration with acclaimed composer/arranger Mike Kamuf.
Hosting the concert in full drag as “Miranda Priestly” from 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada will be the talented performer Venus Valhalla!
The concert will be held in the fourth-floor auditorium at Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Library, beginning promptly at 1:00PM. This event is open to the public, and no tickets are required for entry. For any venue-specific questions please reach out to MLK Library.
