Let's start the day off right and join neighbors for a local cafe + nature walk near you. We can step away from screens and step into the world around us. Paying attention as winter moves out and spring slowly moves in. Noticing the trees, the wind, and all that's around us, as our neighbors, too.
Although well-hidden, Allston-Brighton has many spaces within reach that can feel natural, even wild. In these places, our resident vocalist, the birds, and their backup band, the wind and the movement of trees, become as easy to notice as traffic or the screech of a train in the distance. With this sensory environment, along with the smell of coffee and the company of neighbors, we can remember our place in all this, as home.
But first, coffee, and what's a gathering without food, so we'll meet at a cafe, where I'll get a mix of baked goods to share (order the coffee or other drinks you want on your own). By paying for food in advance on a sliding scale ($0-$10, suggested: $7) and sharing the food as a group, it makes sure that all can join with a positive experience. So, you can still enjoy the good food in good company, especially if you can't pay anything at all (which I know is especially important during times when it's not possible to pay), no questions asked. And if you are able to contribute more, it will make sure that others can join, either in these activities, in other multi-stop activities, or to support the ability to put time and effort into these.
RSVP and put any allergen info, we should be able to accomodate!
P.S. If it's your first time joining and you can't find us, I'll likely have a blue hat with an orange sweet potato on it, or you can message here or on Instagram @ABFoodToursBoston
