Join Local Queer and ACLU for a queer focused Know Your Rights Training led by Ash Hall (they/them), Policy & Advocacy Strategist on LGBTQIA+ Rights at the ACLU.
This Know Your Rights training from the ACLU of Texas covers how recently-implemented policies at the federal and state level affect the rights we have as LGBTQIA+ Texans, what to do if your rights are violated, what changes to our rights may be on the horizon, and what resources are available to our community.
After the training, we're hosting a fabulous short n sweet drag show fundraiser featuring local queen Lawrie Bird to raise money to support ACLU's mission in fighting for queer and trans rights. Tips will be matched by Cheer Ups! Donations can also be made through Partiful when you RSVP or at the door!
