Somewhere between self-care and self-sacrifice lies one of the hardest questions to answer: What do we actually owe to ourselves and what do we owe to each other? At this salon, we'll explore the invisible obligations that shape our lives: the ones we embrace, the ones we resist, and the ones we never consciously chose. We'll explore questions like: ✨ Do we owe ourselves happiness above all else? ✨ When does self-care become selfishness and when does sacrifice become self-abandonment? ✨ What do we owe our family, friends, partners, and communities simply by being connected to them? ✨ Is belonging something we earn, something we're entitled to, or something we build together? ✨ How do we balance personal freedom with responsibility to others? ✨ What happens when what we owe ourselves conflicts with what we owe someone we love? Join us for a night of thoughtful conversation on responsibility, belonging, and what it means to live well alongside other people. Drinks and snacks provided! We'll be in Hell's Kitchen. Attendance Policy: Please only RSVP if you can make it. If you cancel within 48 hours of an event, you won't be able to attend the next two salons (exceptions made if you're feeling sick — please stay home and message me if that's the case).
