Love watching documentaries? This event is for you! 💛 To kick off the BIG Conference, we’re inviting the public to a special basic income mini-film festival in Portland, OR. We’ll start with previews of several incredible BI/GI film projects, including Multnomah Mothers' Trust (a local Portland project), the Nest series, Workers of Art, and It's Basic. Our featured screening of the evening is a sneak peek of two full episodes of Bootstraps, an intimate, deep-dive docuseries ten years in the making. Directed by Emmy winner Deia Schlosberg and anticipating release later this year, it follows 11 diverse U.S. households participating in a groundbreaking, multi-year basic income experiment. The screenings will be followed by a filmmaker Q&A and some exciting announcements. Afterward, we'll head over to Tom's Bar around the corner to keep the conversation going and mingle!
