From 7–10PM, we’ll gather to watch Join or Die — a powerful documentary exploring the collapse of civic life and why participation in groups may be one of the most radical acts of our time. After the screening, we’ll hold a facilitated discussion on belonging, civic engagement, loneliness, and what it actually means to show up for each other in an age of fragmentation.
Before the film, we’re creating space to practice what the documentary preaches:
1–4PM (Bonus): Sustainable Household Item Swap
Participate in the circular economy — bring usable household goods and exchange them for something new-to-you. Details: https://luma.com/24exgx4p
4–7PM (Bonus): Community Meal Prep
We’ll cook together in community and prepare a shared gluten-free, fully vegan dinner.
A $10 contribution covers snacks, popcorn, and a full GF/vegan meal prepared with and for the group.
Come prepared to reflect on:
A group that once shaped you
Why you joined — or why you left
Where you feel belonging (or its absence) today
The metacrisis isn’t just environmental or economic.
It’s relational.
Come swap.
Come cook.
Come watch.
Come discuss.
