Relax with a picnic at the beach this Wednesday! Whether you're coming to chill on the sand or swim in the lake, let the sun and waves chase away your worries. Ohio Street Beach is a short walk away from Navy Pier, where we'll catch some dazzling fireworks in the evening. Never have ridden the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier? We have tickets available for those that would like to ride. See you there! 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: 6:30-8:30: Picnic at Ohio St Beach 8:30: Walk to Navy Pier 9:00: Navy Pier fireworks show 9:15-9:20: Fireworks end + head out 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: sunscreen, picnic blanket, beach games, snacks, drinks (no alcohol is allowed on the beach) 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲: water, some snacks, a couple picnic blankets, speaker 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗦 The distance from Ohio St Beach to Navy Pier is less than 0.5 miles and completely flat. For those who want to ride the Ferris wheel, the line may be 30+ minutes long. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀: None at the beach, but there are restrooms at Navy Pier ~10 minute walk. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: Limited street parking and no parking at the beach. There are parking lots at Navy Pier or you can find additional ones on parking apps.
