There's the pressure that comes from the outside — and then there's the kind you carry from within. The "shoulds" and "should nots" we've absorbed over a lifetime run quietly in the background, and that chronic hum doesn't just wear on you mentally. It compounds external stress, keeping your nervous system in a state it was never meant to sustain.
In this session, we'll explore how internalized expectations act as inflammatory stressors — and more importantly, how to challenge, reframe, and replace them with intentional, values-aligned choices that actually belong to you.

IWILL was founded in 2021 in NYC and has now grown to have 195+ women in law and a vast network of allies, consisting of women in other professions and men. Our community is rich in culture and experience as the vast majority of our members and friends are first-generation lawyers/professionals, immigrants, other underrepresented individuals in law. We speak 50+ languages, are licensed in 20+ states and practice in 60+ areas of law.
At IWILL, we believe that when one of us rises, we all rise. We collaborate daily and celebrate each other. We help each other become the center in our own lives and remember that we deserve and can have a brilliant career, as well as fulfillment, peace, and joy, which exist after we exit survival mode.
