Packard’s Corner in Allston is a hub for plant-based food! While “it’s not easy being green” may be true in some places, here is an exception! Great local small businesses Rhythm ‘n Wraps and Grasshopper Vegan (inside Super 88 Food Hall) are making this corner of Allston a destination for plant-based food that is delicious, nutritious, affordable, and attractive to all kinds of eaters! At the same time, Climate Week will roll on in NYC; we can take a bite out of seemingly intractable problems as we come together in our own neighborhood. Supporting small businesses and supporting one another, we continue to water the seeds of a food ecosystem for a future we want. We will meet in the welcoming green space outside the Allston Abbey (the Emmanuel Garden), before heading to Rhythm ‘n Wraps and then Grasshopper Vegan! Pay What You Can/Sliding Scale Payment: Being a group naturally spreads out costs, such as with shareable food. Even more so, we subsidize costs within the group by welcoming a range of people who are able to contribute at different levels based on their budget. This allows us to pull up a few extra chairs for everyone to come to the table. We can all enjoy delicious food, share a great experience with neighbors, and support local food businesses, all at once. Pretty sweet! Pay What You Can/Sliding Scale Suggested Price: [Pay in Advance to Confirm Your Spot] Standard: $30 (covers expected food costs) Solidarity: $5 (you're welcome to join and will receive exactly the same food as everyone else) Supporter: $50 (makes it possible for others to join at the solidarity ticket price) Enabler: $75 (ensures that more people can join at the solidarity ticket price and makes it possible to run these more often. Similar experiences charge up to $140 per person, for comparison). Optional Tips for Guide: If you would like, you can leave a direct tip for the guide at the end. These are optional and typically vary from $5-30 per person. Be sure to RSVP and share with a friend! P.S.
