Mission Statement:
to foster collective wellness through education and life changing experiences in a holistic approach
for people in Puerto Rico and all over the world.
We are honoring Perfecto! Perfecto Andujar has been making choclate from his grandmother’s recipe handed down through generations of chocolate making in the Puerto Rico mountain enclave of Las Marias.
Purpose and Benefits:
Spiritual Connection: Cacao ceremonies have been practiced for centuries by indigenous cultures to facilitate spiritual connection and inner awakening. This ceremony will help participants tap into their inner wisdom, fostering a sense of unity and harmony.
Community Building: By sharing this sacred experience, participants will build strong bonds and create a supportive community. The collective energy and shared intentions will amplify the sense of togetherness and mutual support.
Personal Growth: The ceremony encourages introspection and self-discovery, allowing participants to reflect on their life journey, set positive intentions, and embrace personal growth.
What to Expect:
Opening Circle: The event begins with an opening circle where participants introduce themselves and share their intentions for the ceremony. This sets a collaborative and respectful tone for the experience.
Ceremonial Cacao: Participants will be served a specially prepared cacao drink, made from high-quality, ethically sourced cacao ( chocolate that has not been processed). The ritual involves mindful drinking, connecting with the cacao spirit, and allowing its heart-opening properties to take effect.
Meditation and Reflection: Guided meditation and reflective practices will help participants enter a deeper state of consciousness, facilitating personal insights and spiritual connection.
Sharing and Integration: The ceremony concludes with a sharing circle where participants can express their experiences, insights, and feelings. This sharing helps integrate the ceremony's teachings and strengthens the community bond.
Spiritual Component:
The spiritual aspect of the Unity ceremony is central to its purpose. Through the cacao ritual, participants will be invited to connect with the spiritual essence of cacao, which is believed to be a powerful plant medicine. The ceremony will include elements such as:
Intention Setting: Encouraging participants to set heartfelt intentions for the ceremony.
Blessing and Gratitude: Offering blessings and expressing gratitude to the cacao, the Earth, and the community.
Mindfulness and Presence: Practicing mindfulness to stay present and fully experience the ceremony's spiritual depth.
Impact on Participants: Unity: A Ceremonial Cacao Experience will leave participants feeling uplifted, connected, and spiritually nourished. It will inspire a sense of unity and compassion, fostering a supportive community that aligns with our non-profit's mission to help improve their overall well-being, mind, body and spirit.
By integrating this spiritual component into our offerings, we aim to provide a holistic approach to personal and community development, ensuring that every participant leaves with a renewed sense of purpose and connection.
Following the ceremony, we invite you to enjoy a delicious, multi-ethnic lunch that celebrates the rich diversity of our community. Thank you Elsie Getachew and Lisa Barba for helping with some dishes!
