The Mazer is starting a lesbian history-themed book club! Our first book will be Sister Outsider, a collection of speeches and essays by Black lesbian “mother, warrior, poet,” Audre Lorde. Join us at our first meeting on Sunday, August 16 at 2pm at 626 N Robertson, West Hollywood, CA. The goal of this book club is to foster a welcoming, intergenerational, and inclusive space. Racism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, and bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated in the space. ‼️ DOORS OPEN AT 1:55PM AND CLOSE AT 2:05PM. PLEASE DON’T BE LATE ‼️ PARKING: Parking in West Hollywood is, unfortunately, NOT free on Sundays but if you park in either the Rec Center parking lot or the Public Library parking lot then you can get your parking validated (two hours for the Rec Center and three hours for the Public Library). Otherwise, the event is accessible via the 4, 16, and 105 bus lines. 🚌 Masks highly encouraged <3
