Walk through the both GSU galleries with curator, Lauren Jackson Harris. “Where Being Takes Root” provides two entry points to the Walker legacy. The larger gallery is comprised of 33 artists whose work underscores how the South fosters modes of making that embody storytelling, knowledge, and relational exchange. The second gallery holds an intimate look into the artistic practices of the entire Walker family; featuring works by Larry, his wife Gwen and their three children, Dana, Larry Jr, and Kara.
