RAVE SCHOOL is an 1.5 hour immersive workshop exploring deep listening through movement and play. Set to an ambient soundscape, participants are invited to tune into the sometimes chaotic impulses of their bodies rather than trying to create aesthetically pleasing movement. Drawing inspiration from practices like contact improvisation, ecstatic Dance, and 5Rhythms, we'll guide participants through a series of playful movement prompts. These might include embodying an animal, moving with a partner while keeping one part of your body connected to theirs, or responding intuitively to different lyrics and sounds. This is designed for beginners and no dance experience is needed. Her practice spans audio-reactive visuals built in TouchDesigner, original music production in Ableton Live, and hands-on hardware experimentation. Alien C A performance artist and experimental event organizer from Hong Kong specializing in acting, dance, and drag. They previously directed and produced dance concept videos and music video parodies. Room 4.5 An experimental gathering project exploring alternative ways we can be together in a post-digital world.
