—Yiddish Dance Workshop with Sarah Myerson
Featuring live klezmer music by Ilya Shneyveys
Step into the dances of the old country with a Yiddish revival twist! Accompanied by live klezmer, you’ll learn to dance a variety of traditional styles — freylekhs, bulgars, zhoks, and more. Sarah Myerson is a Yiddish musician, dance leader and Cantor who is visiting from New York. She will share the fascinating history and evolution of Yiddish dance from its Eastern European roots to its modern revival in North America.
No dance experience needed — just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
