this is commonplace. a monthly living room hang meant for spending time together, learning something new and figuring out what it means to put theory into practice.
this month we're deep diving into all things public transit !! how did la become so car reliant? what did we lose along the way? are we really destined to keep moving through the city exclusively in cars? we'll talk through the history of la's transit systems, the rise of the car and what all of that has meant for the people and communities that make up this wonderful city.
then we'll have a chance to hop on the metro, explore different parts of the city, people watch, doodle and make our own lil la transit field guides.
come spend an afternoon seeing la from the train! bring a sketchbook, a camera, headphones and a playlist, or just yourself :)
come and go as you please. and as always, free and open to all!
