A single cup contains a quiet chain of relations: rain, soil, sunlight, mountains, the labor of hands, the heat of water, the breath that receives it. What appears small carries an entire ecology within it. This ceremony draws from the Huayan teaching: in a single flower exists an entire world; in a single leaf, a Buddha. Through sound, tea, and stillness, participants are invited to observe how each small form reflects a wider field of interdependence. Each session begins with a sound bath using crystal singing bowls, allowing vibration to settle the body and quiet the mind. Following the sound meditation, tea is whisked and served ceremonially, and participants are invited to drink slowly in contemplation. The act of drinking becomes a meditation on 因果, the unfolding of causes and conditions that shape each moment. Surrounded by artworks and natural forms—leaves, seeds, bodies, and rocks—the multi-sensory experience invites a gentle reflection on the cycles that bind matter together. A cup of tea becomes a small universe: a place where time, nature, and human presence briefly converge.
