Bring yourselves, and a love for budding art. 20$ suggested donation to attend. Artists include: ❤️‍🔥 Amy Maria Tidwell (born 1988, Auckland, New Zealand) is a visual artist residing in Ridgewood, NY. Her work draws on images from the past to understand and reframe the desires and dreams of the present. Particular points of interest include Minhwa landscapes, anatomical Venuses, and every single permutation of Leda and that swan ever depicted. ❤️‍🔥 Alder is probably going to finish his first novel this year. Until then, he's busy chasing chasers. Find him on Instagram @monologuerhead and on Grindr under a name that's not his. Tonight, he will be reading an excerpt from Jean Genet's Miracie of the Rose. ❤️‍🔥 Aly Tadros (she/her) is an Egyptian-American writer, musician, trauma-informed facilitator. She holds an MA in Creative Writing and Literary Translation from Queens College and been awarded fellowships from the Tin House Writers Workshop, Sewanee Writers' Conference, and Sundress Academy of the Arts. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Narratively, Interview Magazine, and on The Modern Love Podcast. She also serves as the assistant director of the Sexual Violence Response at Columbia Medical School, Aly is currently at work on ON SUBMISSION, a memoir-in-essays about kink, power, and self-possession. ❤️‍🔥 Aurora Wells is a queer femme writer drawn to the fault lines between forms. She crafts lyrical prose that resists genre, screenplays and pilots that sing on the page, and horror and science fiction that seeks embodied truth. Her work is extremely gay, profanely erotic, and fiercely tender towards the socially exiled—especially sex workers. She lives in Brooklyn with her rescue muses, Petunia and Peach Julep. ❤️‍🔥 Blush Bullseye is a trans woman writer, painter, and psychoanalyst whose erotica stories use slapstick body phantasmagoria to express anxieties about having a body and intimacy. She was born and raised in NYC ❤️‍🔥 Hux Huxley, who has lived many places and loved many people, currently resides in Brooklyn where they read and write avidly between naps in the sun. They are building a collection of poems to be published as "The Maneater's Cookbook." The anthology aims to explore feminine carnality through domestic labor, especially cooking. You can find them and their work reliably at the Misfit Kava Bar Writing Group, where they facilitate recitation and critique with writers of all kinds. ❤️‍🔥Jamie Funk to perform God’s Double: Based on Sappho’s Fragment 31, god’s double is a performance score originally written in 2018 that now exists in a continual loop of translation—echoing the state of Sappho’s own surviving works. The piece moves through the charged space of desire, where perception stutters, where thought, gesture, and speech break apart and begin again. The work unfolds in starts and stops, as if it’s still being deciphered—no completion, only encounter. ❤️‍🔥 Lady Thera aka, Eartha Vas, aka Thera of Folk Fiction, has something to say about sex. And why not? After singing with the Metropolitan Opera Children's Chorus, dancing with the New York City Ballet, and fronting the goth-punk cult-favorite band Folk fiction, sex is clearly the next art frontier. Her resolution for 2025 is to reclaim her sex life. Find out how she does it in a reading from her book Hardhat: The Journal of Eartha Vas.
