Join the East Bay Permaculture Guild in getting your hands dirty at Castlemont High School's urban farm. Staff will lead us in planting, mulching rows and weeding to tend to this beautiful land. Added bonus: we will be joined by co-sponsors Communities for a Better Environment, doing inspirational environmental justice community organizing work in the East Bay. We will be planting, mulching and weeding; and simply enjoying this shining example of experiential learning and food justice at a public high school.
The farm is located in the back of the school (you can go through their parking lot, make a right and then park under their solar panels).
Bring a friend, snacks, a water bottle and clothes you can dirty in. Kids are welcome. See you there! You can text: 415-806-8955 if you have questions.
