Park in the parking lot at the back of the Essex Center off Essex ave, or on the street nearby. The studio is up the stairs near the front of the Essex building, across from the redwood tree in the center courtyard. You'll see the sign for Energy Flow Studio at the top of the staircase.

Improv Healing: The Art of Authentic Play
Join us for a workshop of movement, play, connection, and new friendships, in a welcoming container designed to put you in touch with your inner child expressive joy without any pressure to "perform" or "do it right"
This work combines improv games with authentic relating practices, movement, and connection games, to free us from our daily contrived personas and help us come into embodied, playful aliveness.

- Gently release fears and blocks around expression in a welcoming, attuned space
- Play improvisational connection games to open up, access flow state, and take yourself less seriously
- Explore the full palette of your creative expression through movement, dance, voice, and embodied aliveness practices
- Rediscover the magic and wonder of mystical innocence through cultivating connection to your inner child’s playful nature
- Practice relational attunement while learning to be less censored, more spontaneous, and deeply connected to others
- Feel resourced by a space that balances activity with gentleness, so your nervous system is able to integrate the material
Do you remember what it was like to play pretend as a child? If you dive deeply into those memories you may touch upon something profound — the incredible freedom of your innate childlike expressive nature, and the utterly magical places you used to explore when you played.
We have the capacity to create whole worlds with our creativity, and express ourselves in a multitude of playful, inventive ways. And yet we mostly tend to walk around in the same persona role that we've agreed to play for most of our lives. Improv reconnects us to our power to re-create ourselves in any moment, blossoming forth in inspired, alive new ways.
Participate at your own level -- no one is ever obligated to do anything, and there's no requirement to get up in front of everyone. This work combines playful improv connection games with authentic relating, dance, voice and movement practices to help us reawaken to our full expressive potential.
