The Duke IEEE Intro to Supercomputing Conference, sponsored by the National Science Foundation’s ACCESS program, aims to teach the Duke community how to move their local computing work to the cloud. The Duke IEEE Chapter is a student group at Duke University focused on electrical engineering, computer science, and fostering collaboration and innovation. Through a series of faculty-focused tutorials, participants will learn to use tools like Docker and HPC job managers such as SLURM, and gain access to free compute resources provided by the NSF. The goal is to make high-performance computing more accessible and useful to the Duke community.
