Launch Party for new line of Reaperware along with Pop Up Exhibition of Ceramic Works by Adam D. Miller
Reaperware Unveils the T-1000 Line: Sleek, Refined, and Ready for Everyday Use — Launch Party with The Future Perfect & The Pit, Part of LA Design Weekend Los Angeles, CA.
Reaperware, the Los Angeles–based design studio known for its brutalist ceramics and black-and-white “bleed” glazing, and kitschy references to horror movies and music subcultures, announces the debut of the Reaperware T-1000 line — a sleek evolution of the studio’s original hand-built collection.
The launch will be celebrated with a party on Saturday, September 27, from 3–6 PM at The Pit (3015 Dolores Street, Los Angeles, CA 90065), co-hosted by The Future Perfect and The Pit as part of LA Design Weekend.
The name — a playful nod to the liquid metal cyborg from Terminator 2 — signals the new line’s evolution: sleeker, more fluid forms, and more refined than the “chunkier,” brutalist originals. Produced through slip casting, the T-1000 pieces feature smoother finishes, rounded more mid-century styled forms, and practical details like scratch-free bases — all while retaining Reaperware’s iconic black-and-white glazing.
New forms include ridged noodle bowls, new large \ medium \ small everyday bowls, dinner plates with lifted rounded edges, and new side plates designed to pair perfectly with the original line. Together, the collections allow for a complete table setting that balances brutalist funk with refined and functional design.
Alongside the launch, The Future Perfect will present a pop-up exhibition of ceramic lighting, vessels, and seating by Adam D. Miller, founder of Reaperware and represented by The Future Perfect. The gallery installation will include pieces launched earlier in 2025 but that have not been publicly displayed. All non-Reaperware pieces will be for sale through The Future Perfect.
The celebration will feature a goth DJ set, drinks, and the opportunity to view and purchase both the T-1000 line and Miller’s ceramic works in person.
The Reaperware T-1000 line will be available beginning September 27th at www.reaperware.la, at The Pit’s shop, and select stockists. Adam D. Miller’s unique functional pieces can be viewed and purchased at https://www.thefutureperfect.com/made-by/designer/adam-miller/
