As adults we live most of the time with a limited idea of who we are. In order to expand beyond our limited experience, we first must understand how we hold ourselves back.
We all impose on the world limited ideas about how we think life works and how we expect to be treated based on experiences and ways we were treated as children.
Since our limitations have been created by us, usually in response to childhood pain and the perceived limitations of our family or lineage, the process of reclaiming all of ourselves must involve revisiting our childhood.
Even if we’ve worked through our stories mentally, through therapy or mindfulness, we need somatic processing for that understanding to land in our bodies and ripple into our lives.
When we dissolve our personal limitations, our expansion has an impact on everyone around us. When we make the leap of expanding our personal boundaries, deepening our sense of inner safety to include more of life, all humankind expands, and the evolutionary process of the species is furthered.
