An intimate Bangladeshi–Persian fusion dinner exploring food as storytelling, memory, migration, and gathering. Drawing from my grandparents’ memories alongside Californian farm-to-table influences, this experimental summer dinner is beginning to take shape in Oakland. 🧺
I’ve always dreamt of hosting my first test kitchen at home in the Bay— creating an experience between flavor, nostalgia, and community, and cooking for the people I love. 🩵
The evening’s menu blends Bangladeshi depth with Persian warmth through saffron-kewra chicken korma, lamb & prune bhuna-e-firdaus, zaffrani pulao, bhindi bhaji, rose-salted raita, charred tomato chutney (bhorta-style), cardamom pistachio firni, and a mango saffron cocktail inspired by long summer nights. ✨
Designed as a small-format pilot dinner for slow conversation, a sensory experience, and intentional gathering.
