We are bringing the pachanga and ceremonia to Ojai! Ojai, Ventura County, and beyond! Join us for this very special event. Your attendance will help us bring to life this vision and mission we feel to remember, reclaim, and share our sacred wisdom, teachings, traditions, and Earth-connection ways with the world during this time that we so desperately need it. 🌎🩷 It’s hard to put into words exactly what Mexico‘s Independence Day means to us Mexicans. We hold this day in our hearts with so much pride, tenderness, and love for our beloved Mexico. Mexico‘s Independence Day – a beautiful and arduous victory – finally came after 300 years of Indigenous erasure, and it left behind a forever-changed Mexico. What remained of us became a mixed race of Indigenous and Spanish – our now Mexican identity. We had no choice but to persevere and make meaning through our new identity during that time. Yet silently and powerfully in the background, our ancestors embarked on the Red Red Path – a path of blood that was shed as they preserved some of our sacred ways and wisdom for future generations. And, despite colonizer attempts to stomp our Indignity out of us - despite the ongoing persecution of our relatives today, we are still here – practicing our Danza, our ceremonias, our sacred Earth-connection ways. ✊🏽🪶🩷 📆 Join us in Ojai on September 13th as we celebrate with pride a beautiful reclamation of who we are and the resilience and absolute warrior strength that we carry. 💚 The suggested donation of $15 per adult admission helps us cover costs, compensate participants, and continue to share these beautiful offerings with you, our beloved community.
