Meet-Up Info & FAQs

Film Friends!!!! We are so excited to host our very first EVER Film Friends Meet-Up. Thank you for your constant support + love for Film Friends because without you, this would not be possible. So thank you for being here and thank you for being a friend 🫶🏼 Where is the event taking place? The event is on August 15th at 1 PM EST at Kan-Kan Cinema & Bar Address: 1258 Windsor St., Indianapolis, IN 46201 What will happen at the Meet-Up? We will be holding a live discussion about the movie along with other games and fun things. What movie are we discussing? Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) directed by Steven Speilberg Will we be watching the movie at the Meet-Up? Unfortunately, we are unable to hold a watch party during the event. We’re sorry. We tried. It's a whole legal thing, and the Film Friends lawyers advised us to not say any more. Can we still watch the movie together? Although we are not able to host a live screening, we will be hosting an online watch-along in the Film Friends Discord at 8 PM EST on Tuesday, August 11. Once in the Discord, navigate to the "Watch Along" voice channel. Will anything else be happening after the event? Yes! We are planning to attend a showing of The End of Oak Street at a local AMC. You will be responsible for securing your own ticket to the showing. More information to come. Will there be food? Yes, we will have pizza (vegan and vegetarian options) Do I need to bring anything? A good attitude (and maybe some money if you’d like to buy alcohol at the bar). Does the event cost anything to attend? The event does not cost to attend, but we are accepting $10 donations to the Film Friends Fund. If you want to give us $10, that would be cool. If you want to give us more than $10, that would be cool too. If you want to give us $0, that is also cool. Will there be more events? Yes! The more Film Friends grows, the more opportunities there will be to meet and see each other. This first event is happening in Indy, but we are planning another event in Chicago, so if you cannot make this one, do not fret!
