Mountainside Treatment Center is proud to present the first annual Dopey Recovery Short Film Festival with Dave Manheim from The Dopey Podcast!
The event will be hosted at the SVA Theater from 7-10pm with catering from Katz’s Delicatessen and an afterparty at The Maze sober social club.
The festival showcases short films, documentaries, music videos, and experimental work that explore drugs, alcoholism, trauma, loss, mental health, relapse, connection, and recovery. Following screenings, the event will feature a live Q&A with the filmmakers.
The goal is simple: bring people together through film, laughter, honesty, and art, all while proving that recovery stories don’t have to be boring. At its core, the Dopey Short Film Festival celebrates creativity born from chaos, because sometimes the darkest stories make the best art.
