Over the past six months, the Metacrisis Salons have brought together people who care deeply about the world and are willing to sit with difficult questions: How do we make sense of — and meaningfully intervene in — complex, interconnected systems during a time of polycrisis? What we haven’t yet done is pause to map who is actually in the room — not just by topic or expertise, but by shared orientation. This community has been shaped by people who aren’t afraid of depth: people willing to have hard conversations, to look clearly at crisis without turning away, and to stay engaged even when the answers aren’t simple. This salon is an opportunity to make that more visible. What do people here care most deeply about? Where do interests, skills, and questions overlap? And how might this group naturally evolve into deeper learning circles, collaborations, or experiments in contribution? We’ll be joined by Vincent Arena, founder of Catalist (https://www.catalist.network/ ), who will introduce how mapping functions as a practical tool for systems change — not as abstraction, but as a way to reveal relationships, coordination gaps, and leverage points that are otherwise hard to see. From there, we’ll move into a collective mapping exercise and facilitated group discussion, designed to surface what’s already here — and what might want to emerge next among people committed to learning, growing, and co-creating a more livable world. ⚡️ Optional Early Arrival Around 4:00 pm, we’ll open the space early to cook a giant vegan & gluten-free chili together and set up the room. If you’d like deeper, more informal time — cooking, connecting, and helping shape the container — we’d love to have you. Limited spots, first come first served. Just send me a message.
