Dear Fall 2025 and Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall 2026 Graduating Students: You made it! You each have worked tirelessly and challenged yourselves to achieve your degree. This is a milestone worthy of joyful celebration! Please join us for CSULB Department of Sociology's 32nd Annual Graduation Celebration & Awards where we will honor the journey, achievements and hopes of all Sociology graduates. This year we will celebrate in community in the Psychology Building (PSY) Courtyard on Friday, May 8th starting at 6:00pm until 7:30pm(ish). We invite you to bring any guests you would like - chosen family, significant others, friends, community and anyone else. To help us prepare with refreshments and space, please let us know your attendance and expected guests by Wednesday, April 29th. (No guests will be turned away, of course). Four important notes: (1) If you have a cap and gown, please wear it to the celebration (not required); (2) *All* SOC graduates attending will be able to have have your name read and be recognized during the celebration (we'll collect all of the names at registration day of the event); (3) Feel free to upload photos from your CSULB journey and we'll also share out the album! Please email robert.chlala@csulb.edu should you have any questions. Note that parking lots are open for general use starting 5pm!
