Bad Movie Night Brooklyn is back at Freddy's bar for an underseen 80s kid Halloween classic! It's Ernest Scared Stupid! Joining in to introduce the film and flex his Ernhistorian knowledge will be Brooklyn own Martin Monster! A staple franchise lost to time, Ernest has done it all across 5 theatrical films and 4 home video releases in his 10 year movie empire. But among them, Ernest Scared Stupid was considered an oddity. Deviating from it's generally grounded roots, the movie featured a legitimately scary villain and crazy special effects courtesy of the Chiodo Brothers (the team behind Killer Klowns from Outer Space!). Past films saw Ernest go to Camp, break out of jail, and help Santa. But this time, lives are at stake. Because this time, Ernest has to slay a monster! Plot: Hundreds of years ago, in a small town in Missouri, children were being snatched from their homes by a vicious man-eating Troll. Eventually, the town rose up and captured the troll, burying it deep beneath the Earth. The children never returned .. but the Troll was never to be seen again... Until now. Ernest P. Worrel, a dimwitted but good-hearted garbage man and mechanic, has accidentally unearthed the monster on Halloween night, starting a new spree of kidnappings. And according to the prophecy, only he can defeat the Troll once and for all! With the help of a kooky old lady (Eartha Kitt), his trusty dog Rimshot, and a band of neighborhood kids, Ernest is going to once again save day, and banish evil once and for all!
