Join author Angelik Vizcarrondo-Laboy to celebrate the book launch of New Women's Work: Reimagining "Feminine" Craft in Contemporary Art published by Smith Street Books.
The gorgeously illustrated book showcases profiles on 38 women and nonbinary artists engaging with crafts techniques historically or culturally considered "women's work" to highlight how they are unapologetically creating art and carrying their legacies into the future.
To commemorate the launch, the author will have a conversation with featured artists Melissa Joseph and Roxanne Jackson. Following the talk, books will be available for purchase and guests are invited to stay and mingle.
