Welcome to the first Kinda Jewish Bike Ride!
After a long cold winter 🥶 spring is finally here! 🌞
On Sunday March 29th we ride around Central Park followed by beers nearby at Malachy's Irish Pub.
This is meant to be a relaxed group ride for Jews, Jew-adjacent, and friends who just like good company and fresh air.
Details for the ride:
Recommend clothing:
The weather is supposed to be low to mid 50s I recommend wearing long sleeves athletic gear if you have it but if not most long sleeves should be fine. I will not be enforcing this but please wear a helmet.
Meeting point:
Samuel F. B. Morse Statue near the 72nd St entrance to Central Park (image posted)
Timing:
Meet at 12:00 PM, wheels up around 12:30 PM
Ride plan:
Warm-up ride to Cherry Hill → one full loop of the Central Park drive → back to Cherry Hill (~7 miles total)
All riding levels welcome. Social pace.
Bike options:
• Bring your own bike
• Citi Bike stations nearby (about 5 stations close to the meeting point around 72nd and 5th)
• Rental bikes available at Unlimited Biking near Columbus Circle (link above)
NOTE: I highly recommend getting a rental as the bikes are better, reliable and may even end up being cheaper as Citibikes rates increase exponentially after 30 minutes!
After the ride we’ll head nearby for beers if anyone wants to hang.
All levels and feel free to invite friends! This is more about meeting fellow riders and shaping future rides together. Looking forward to a great time!
